THEN:

Young Pharazôn was a bit of a rebel. If you told him he couldn't have something he wanted it, if you told him not to do something, he'd go and do it. He made a name for himself as a military commander, gained vast amounts of wealth, promptly used it to bribe his political enemies and finally, secured the throne of Númenor through a bloodless coup (by way of scandalous marriage to his cousin). After all that, he should have wanted for nothing but that didn't stop him wanting more. Like immortality. Bad move, that.

NOW:

Being rehoused in Orë has given Pharazôn a different perspective on his old life. For instance, he's realised that you shouldn't listen to Morgothic servants, even if you have taken them prisoner. He'll never go toe-to-toe against the Valar because he now understands that if you do, Eru will imprison you in a magical cave until the End Times, leaving you with crippling claustrophobia in your new life. From now on, if he sees a White Tree, he'll leave it the hell alone.

These days, he just wants a quiet life. He's happy in his career as a lawyer in his father's firm and if anyone asks, he's not a rehousing, he can't speak Adûnaic, he doesn't know the first thing about Second Age warfare and burning people alive is wrong.
